The Commonwealth Transportation Board (CTB) will consider public comments as it develops the FY2022-2027 Six-Year Improvement Program both via a virtual meeting in April, and via written comments through May 17, 2021. The SYIP allocates public funds to highway, road, bridge, rail, bicycle, pedestrian and public transportation projects. All federally eligible projects in the SYIP will be included in the Statewide Transportation Improvement Program to document how Virginia will obligate its federal funds.

The public was able to provide feedback on the FY2022-2027 Six-Year Improvement Program update at the virtual spring meetings for the Staunton Construction District, which includes the SAWMPO, on April 29.
