The Commonwealth Transportation Board (CTB) will hold its Staunton District fall transportation meeting on Thursday, October 22, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at Blue Ridge Community College. Residents of Harrisonburg and Rockingham County can attend to comment on state transportation projects and funding. Anyone who can’t attend can submit written comments through November 30, 2026. The CTB will use the feedback it receives to shape the Six-Year Improvement Program and the 2027–2030 Statewide Transportation Improvement Program, while it also reviews SMART SCALE Round 7 applications.

This meeting is one of nine that the CTB is holding statewide this fall to gather public input on highway, rail, and transit programs. Staff from VDOT, the Department of Rail and Public Transportation (DRPT), and the Office of Intermodal Planning and Investment will present their programs. A town hall session for questions and discussion will follow the presentations.
