The Federal Railroad Administration (FRA) Long-Distance Service Study is proposing a new long distance passenger rail route through Virginia. FRA accepted stakeholder comments on this and other proposed routes. The proposed route through Virginia would have end points in New York City and Houston and would serve the Washington, DC to Bristol corridor.
