Afton Mountain Transportation Site Assessment

The FY24 SAWMPO Afton Mountain Transportation Site Assessment is evaluating existing vehicular and bicycle and pedestrian conditions at the Inn at Afton Mountain near the I-64 Exit 99 interchange as part of a larger site assessment being conducted by Augusta County. Timmons Group is leading the MPO transportation study. The Scope of Work for the MPO study includes existing conditions data collection and a site visit, a future development scenario to inform recommendations, and three concept layouts depicting improvements. The Study will begin in September 2023, and conclude in Spring 2024.
