Draft TIP Amendment Available for Public Review

The Staunton-Augusta-Waynesboro Metropolitan Planning Organization (SAWMPO) is releasing for public comment a draft amendment for ungrouping large and regionally significant transportation projects under “Construction: Safety/ITS/Operations Improvements” to the FY2021-2024 Transportation Improvement Program (TIP). Copies of the draft amendment are available for public review at the following locations:

  • Central Shenandoah Planning District Commission 112 MacTanly Place, Staunton 
  • Augusta County Government Center, 18 Government Center Lane, Verona
  • Staunton City Manager’s Office, 116 W Beverley Street, Staunton
  • Waynesboro City Manager’s Office, 503 W Main Street, Waynesboro

If you would like to submit written comments, request a public hearing, or if you have questions regarding this amendment, please contact the SAWMPO. Comments may also be made in person at the SAWMPO Policy Board meeting on December 7, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. at the CSPDC office, 112 MacTanly Place, Staunton. An official public hearing will be provided if requested in advance of this meeting by contacting the SAWMPO no later than Wednesday, November 25.
