May is National Bike Month

May is National Bike Month, an annual celebration to increase awareness and participation in bicycling as a healthy, economic, and sustainable transportation option.

To celebrate National Bike Month, the City of Staunton is hosting a Bike & Walk to Work Day event on Friday, May 18 with a commuter breakfast from 7:30 to 9:30 a.m. on the Johnson Street side of the Wharf Parking Lot in Historic Downtown Staunton.

Walking and biking commuters are encouraged to stop by for coffee and a light breakfast and enjoy music, gear giveaways and free bike maintenance. Participants can log their commutes online or at the commuter breakfast and win prizes.
